Prince Nymph
Prince Nymphs have been around for quite some time. Originally designed by Doug Prince in 1930 (at least from what I found online), it has been a fly that has worked well even to this day. While they aren't the easiest nymph to tie, they really aren't too difficult when you get the hang of them, and you can fill a box in a day or two.

Caramel Tiger Dog Nobbler
The Dog Nobbler is among the most effective trout flies in the world, and any fish that eat leeches, worms, insect larvae and slender baitfish will try to kill this fly. Trevor Housby, the creator of the Dog Nobbler, favoured a couple of tiger striped versions. One being white/brown and another being yellow/black.

Marabou Black Ghost
Here we will be tying the fly Black Ghost by mr. Herbert Welch. This time I'll be tying my personal version of it which I prefer to use for seatrout when I fish for that fish in salt water on the tides in the beautiful Westfjords of Iceland. I have to admit that Black Ghost is 100% my favourite streamer pattern ever.

But this fly is originally from Nova Scotia according to my favourite fly fishing web in Iceland, www.fos.is but that web is like the phonebook for still-water fishing in Iceland. The Indian Streamer is a great option for both stream and lake fishing. The fly catches both brown trout and arctic char.

Surefire Midge
One of those simple patterns that never seems to fail. This little black midge with a trailing UV shuck is, as the name suggests, a foolproof choice when the fish are on anything small and black. The up-side down hackle gives this midge a slightly lower profile when presented. Best in sizes from 16-24.

Hard Head Pheasant Tail Jig
A must have jig for Euro nymphing that is quick and easy to tie, durable and above all, incredibly effective!
Tie these up in all sizes. For colder water I like to increase the length and density, of the hares ear collar, this will put the breaks on, so the nymph will jig slower.

Simple Nayat Baitfish
A good-looking baitfish imitation does not have to be super-realistic, complicated to tie or consist of expensive and hard-to-find materials in order to tempt predatory fish - often it is the shape and movement that create the realistic image of a fleeing baitfish that can trigger even the most discerning predatory fish.

Simple Bunny Leech
This is about as simple as it gets for a streamer. In fact I would say its even easier than a wooly bugger to tie, and just as versatile. This fly I learned to tie while working at a fly shop on the San Juan River in New Mexico called Float n Fish. The shop owner tied these for his customers regularly and it really worked great as an inexpensive little streamer that just plain worked.
